This was how I read it the first time around. It never even occurred to me to parse it as make war illegal. Obviously I expected too much from a brain-dead entertainer.

I suspect Grohl is one of the biggest kidders in mainstream music, out to milk teenage money with chant-along choruses and other really clichéd bullshit. He's implied his lyrics are impersonal bunk made up in the studio, which is disheartening for people who fuck to Everlong.If it's true, it's hilarious. Honestly, who calls a record Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace and really means it?
