The Free Market Hall of Fame

Mark Skousen, the impresario behind the annual FreedomFest in Las Vegas, is asking for votes in a Free Market Hall of Fame contest.

Go here to check it out. (And don't be shy about pulling the lever--er, clicking on--Robert Poole in question #9; he's the fella who founded Reason Foundation, the nonprofit that publishes the print and online editions of reason and its safe to say that all of us, even spambags like kyle, are crumbs in Bob's beard.)

How 'bout we sing 'Kyle's Mom is a Stupid Bitch' in D Minor?

Well, Kyle's Mom's a bitch,
she's a big fat bitch,
she's the biggest bitch in the whole wide world,
she's a stupid bitch,
if there ever was a bitch,
she's a bitch to all the boys and girls.

Monday she's a bitch,
on Tuesday she's a bitch,
on Wednesday to Saturday, she's a bitch,
then on Sunday, just to be different,
she's a super, king, kameha-meha biatch!

Have you ever met my friend Kyle's mom,
she's the biggest bitch in the whole wide world,
she's a mean old bitch,
and she has stupid hair, she's a bitch,
bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch

Bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch,
bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch,
she's a stupid bitch,
Kyle's mom's a bitch and she's
such a dirty bitch!

Kyle's mom, is a bitch-cha!

Is it early in the planning stages, or has FreedomFest decided to forego the traditional convention format of speakers and exhibitions? :)

Rush Limbaugh is a journalist?
Arthur Laffer is an academic? (well, he was before he got all crazy in the 80s)
Andrew Carnegie is a free marketer? He pushed for federal control of the steel industry
Keynes and FDR are on a multiple choice question alongside Marx and Mao?
George Soros, Paul Krugman, and George W Bush are alongside Castro and Chavez?

Give me a break, this is the most ridiculous survey ever. Don't give it a lick of credit.

mmm. This credit lick is even better than the salt lick.

*pounding on door

OHNOES! It's the swat team with tasers. They'll not get my venison

And I'd have guessed Kyle's Mom is a trollop. But I guess the terms aren't mutually exclusive.

You friggain' nutjobs are just nutjobs if you think Robert Poole has a chance . I mock you, and your values, nutjobs!

Not really Edward again | September 18, 2007, 4:00pm | #

Hey nutjobs, I just found a poll that says Poole has only 6% of the vote. Whaddaya nutjobs think of that, nutjobs? I mock you nutjobs again. Gotta go - me and dondero are goin' to a whore who's gonna give us both nutjobs.

I wrote in Jennifer Able as my favorite free market journalist (present). I encourage all lovers of libertarian redhead writers to do likewise.

This is why you can't bring Jews on away missions! They don't play along!

The lack of rigor you display makes us gratified for your opposition. I guess that one of the values of ours that you don't like is careful thought.

Rick, that was actually a parody of Edward (with an admixture of "grumpy realist" also). I know it can sometimes be hard to tell, though.

Rick Barton | September 20, 2007, 3:14am | #

Thanks, Stevo. I thought that there was a possibility that it was parody-it kinda had that feel. I don't really know who Edward is but it did kinda sound like grumpy realist. (Only more abrasive) Sorry-my bad. The parody was nicely done. So good job if it was you then. And still, my bad. (God you even said, "Not really Edward". I'm an idiot.)

Here; to make recompense, please allow me to remind you of this swell vid. Just slip back to 1983...
