Noel Hillis got a ticket from a red light camera in Garland, Texas, after he allegedly ran the light. Garland says he didn't run the light and that his truck had crossed the stop line when the light turns red. Well, it did pass the stop line as defined by state law. But Hillis found the city of Garland has its own stop line, an imaginary line "which is 10 feet further out (than) where it actually starts," according to Hillis, who lost his case in court. In fact, a local TV station found that every north Texas city that has red light cameras tickets people for running an imaginary stop line, not the one defined in state law.
