I dont see how McCain can attack Obama on inexperience as they seem wont to do and then choose as a VP a never-elected-for-anything former CEO or a 18-month governor.Lieberman on the other hand is plausible.
Do you think he could get that Obama girl? That would be quite a coup!

I'm crossing my fingers for Sarah Palin. VPILF!I don't what the Dem strategists think of her, and I'm not convinced any of them would be smart enough to do it, but her role in the current scandal up there would make it REALLY easy to paint her as a Cheney in training.

Pawlenty.He's young, he'll carry Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin, and despite what the pundents say, he'll match up fin for one debate with Biden.

Tim Pawlenty (born November 27, 1960) is an American politician. He is the 39th governor of Minnesota starting his term on January 6, 2003.
Tim PawlentyHe had served as the majority leader in the Minnesota House of Representatives prior to being elected governor, beginning his term in the House in 1992. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Minnesota. His wife, Mary Pawlenty, is a district judge in Dakota County. He is a Republican.
Tim Pawlenty had originally planned to seek the US Senate seat in 2002. Several national Republican leaders including Vice President Dick Cheney, asked him to step aside to allow Norm Coleman to challenge Paul Wellstone. Pawlenty then decided to run for governor. The race saw four major-party candidates (the Republican, Democratic, Independence, and Green parties were all considered to be "major" by the state at the time). Pawlenty ran against Roger Moe (Democratic), Tim Penny (Independence), and Ken Pentel (Green).
He campaigned in 2002 on a pledge not to raise taxes to balance the state's budget deficit. He also supported requiring visa expiration dates on driver's licenses, a 24 hour waiting period on abortions, implementing the state's conceal-carry gun law and changing the state's education requirements. During the 2003 session, all these issues were passed except the "expiration dates on driver licenses". Like his predecessor Governor Jesse Ventura, he has a weekly call-in radio show.

Obama general counsel Bob Bauer today sent a second, sharper letter to the Justice Department, directly attacking the Dallas billionaire funding a harsh attack ad, Harold Simmons.
"We reiterate our request that the Department of Justice fulfill its commitment to take prompt action to investigate and to prosecute the American issues Project, and we further request that the Department of Justice investigate and prosecute Howard (sic) Simmons for a knowing and willful violation of the individual aggregate contribution limits," he wrote.

The law's rightfulness aside, when one side in a contest is following a law, and the other is not, that's not cool. Is it?

I'm really hating this election, and at this point I have no idea who I'm going to vote for. McCain's foreign policy and view on government scare the heck out of me, Obama is putting an easy-to-palate smiley face on socialism and Barr is sending libertarianism into a conservative gutter with his hardline stances on immigration and abortion. Of the three, I respect Obama's integrity the most, but still don't particularly trust him. McCain is far preferable on health care, school choice and spending to Obama, but hardly at all on anything else. Barr's probably the strategic choice, just to get the libertarian name out there, although I'm not convinced that a guy exposed as a total hypocrite by Larry Flynt is the best vessel for the ideas of libertarianism (not that there were any other candidates that could have done a better job, but...).John C. "Lady" is really misused here. If McCain were picking a man candidate, would you have said "gentleman"? Because that is the analogous term for a man."Woman" would have been much more appropriate here. "Lady" is clunky, presumptuous, sexist, and outdated.
