Seriously, if they start givin' it away...

1) I'm still not buying the print edition.

2) I want a refund.

I enjoy popular culture as much as the next guy, in small doses. ...but if the journal's gonna write for more of a general audience, then I can ignore their publications just as easily as I ignore the rest.

...and I don't understand why they would change their subscriber model like that unless they plan to write for a general audience too.

And I'd love to see the numbers behind it all. Where's that number break down? How many banner ads do they have to serve before my $99 a year just isn't worth it anymore?

P.S. I won't pay for "insider" access to ESPN.com until somebody over there writes something worth reading.
