I endorse Reason, too, if endorsements make you happy.Fluffy | June 15, 2007, 7:52am | #
I hear Fred Thompson has chosen to endorse your competitor magazine, Nonsense.Taktix® | June 15, 2007, 8:26am | #
Fluffy,Nonsense? Is that the join venture between the New Republic and the National Review?

Balko's testimony was brilliant and certainly convinced me. Did anybody else notice his ringing endorsement of government regulation as a means of guarding against fraudulent practices?Brian24 | June 15, 2007, 8:40am | #
Wow, that was my first, and now hopefully last experience with "Red Eye." Sorry, Kerry, not even you can make that show palatable.Given the host's theory that lack of sex makes people into terrorists and his bizarre statement that he considers french kissing one of the most unpleasant experiences in life, I suggest that he be added to terrorist watch lists.

"winnings could be taxed"Now he's speaking their language!
And what's with that fidgety woman behind him?

bizarre statement that he considers french kissing one of the most unpleasant experiences in life,Maybe he just has a thing against France. If you called it Freedom Kissing he might be down with it.
Me, on the other hand, I'd still be against it. God made the human tongue so that man could praise him with his song and taste the goodness of the fruit of the earth, not for him to entangle his tongue with another.

Good job, Mr. B., thank you.The biggest problem I see here is the thin wedge that starts with poker and extends to profanity, hostile remarks, unpopular opinions, and ends at thought-crimes.
What, btw, constitutes foolproof age-verification?

Sorry, meant fullproof. At least I think I did.David | June 15, 2007, 9:25am | #
8 to 1 that's not the real crimethink.I'll lay $20 at those odds. Uh oh.

What, btw, constitutes foolproof age-verification?I don't know about foolproof, but taking a core sample and counting the rings is pretty good.

How great it is to see Dr. Ron Paul handing over the mic, with hearty appreciation, to Radley Balko.....wish that sort of thing was a dominant presence on the main stream media.
Might even inspire me to wear an "I Love America" t-shirt around all the time.

Great stuff. Balko should be a regular on that show. Though judging from the reaction shots he wasn't winning many hearts and minds. I think maybe cogent argument isn't as powerful as, say, wads of cash. And just btw, all that mike-chewing and p-popping sure is distracting. A short course in microphone technique is in order before the next session.

Though judging from the reaction shots he wasn't winning many hearts and minds. That's not surprising given the audience, Radley could have been speaking in Bushman clicks and that would have seemed less foreign to the Congressmen than the phrase "not the business of the federal government".

The [...] thin wedge that starts with poker and extends to profanity, hostile remarks, unpopular opinions, and ends at thought-crimes.Wow. I think that is the best, most concise description of Libertarianism I have heard. Well done! I'm gonna add that to the Wikipedia entry on the Libertarian Party.
