It's a grand concept, but there is a world of difference between professional readers and amateurs. I listen to a lot of audio tapes (Teaching Company, books, etc.) and have gotten pretty particular about the quality of the presentation.Of course, free is nice :)
Gotta agree with Pro L on this. I tried some Librivox recordings and, well, you get what you pay for I guess.

You don’t have to settle for second best all the time. It’s possible do download quality free audiobooks from publishers as the BBC Audiobooks, Listen and Live, Playtime Books, etc. You just need to find the right audiobook sites online. www.Top-Audiobook-Downloads.com/free.html is one of those sites. Visit their free section to download some quality free audiobooks from them.
