As Republicans inch away from their libertarian stances, Democrats are inching just as hastily away from theirs.Awesome! Everything I believe in will lose you your election!

"It's the race that could determine whether Democrats take control of the Senate", "Pennsylvania is the hottest race in the country of the United States."What is Weigel talking about? Every poll has Casey leading by 10 points. See:

Most pundits consider PA to be the Democrats' one surefire Senate pickup. Even if they lose everywhere, they are still all but a lock to pick up PA. Senate control will be determined by Missouri, New Jersey, and Tennessee, not Pennsylvania.
Whoops. I accidentally logged in as "Christ" rather than "Chris". :)

Christ is right. Look at the going price for a Santorum contract at Tradesports or Iowa Electronic Markets.Santorum is toast. Ever since a PA judge ruled that the Green Party didn't have enough signatures in its petition to appear on the ballot in the Senate race, his chances have been nil.
I'm just going to vote for Casey and hope that, rather than deliver a big message to Democrats that they should become socially conservative, a Casey win will just give them some more power in Congress without really changing anything. I'm not sure what else to do.

zach-A lot of centrists (although not hardcore libertarians, who I imagine are sitting this one out) feel the same way you do.
If I were living in PA, I'd go ahead and vote Casey, even though I have reservations. Far from perfect, but he looks pretty sensible on the whole.
What's really depressing is the ads you see here. Right now their focus seems to be on illegal immigration; that is, trying to make their candidate seem even more "tough" on illegals than the other. In Pennsylvania!
