You Looked Better on MySpace

MySpace, it turns out, is more than a place for 45-year-old men posing as varsity football players. It's also a place for Marine recruiters sporting action-packed streaming video. According to its MySpace page, the U.S. Marine Corps is way popular, with no fewer than 12,987 friends. AP reports that an Army recruitment page is in the works.

Y'all know damn well that sexy photograph of the Marines is twenty years old and doesn't show the forty pounds the Marines have gained since then.

R U kidding? That's virtually nothing by MySpace standards. That's simply a footnote in the annals of MySpace popularity. I think Tila Tequila has like 40,000+ friends.

MySpace is so horrifically annoying. Sometimes I wind up there for obscure and/or has-been bands that I like, but you're never more than one misplaced click away from one yet another mind-numbing, headache-inducing site "designed" by some pre-teen with way too much time on their hands.

Hey Rhywun,

We missed you at the NYC gathering this weekend. A lot of people were bummed you didn't show. *guilt trip, guilt trip*

Hope you are ok.
