Killed: Great Journalism Too Hot to Print

On October 2 at 5:30PM, C-SPAN's BookTV will be running a taping of a panel discussion I participated in on "Killed: Great Journalism Too Hot to Print." Along with Featurewell's David Wallis, US News & World Report's Jodie Allen, and others, I discussed media self-censorship and consolidation.

Great job working a tough crowd, Nick. I loved it when the discussion got into that weird, "Yes, but what if one corporation owned every single media outlet in the world?" area. You had some good answers, but we'll see how you feel when Wal-Mart owns REASON and is censoring everything but the advertisments. The you'll understand the true power of THE MAN.

Nick,
I thought you chewed them up and spit them out. You did better than I might. I would have been more explicit in saying "You are a crackpot" to the gents on either side of you.

Great Job!

I was hoping to get a recap of recent stories too hot to print as told by panel, especially Nick.
Anyone?
